Air naturally enters water pipelines through intake structures, pump packing, and dissolved gas release. If left unmanaged, these air pockets restrict flow area and cause unpredictable pressure surges. Veyron Valve’s air valves utilize an Aerodynamic Float Design to manage these fluids. During system startup, the large orifice remains open to discharge bulk air. Once water reaches the valve, the float is buoyed upward to seal the orifice. In the event of a sudden pump trip or pipe burst, the valve responds as a Vacuum Breaker, admitting atmospheric air to equalize pressure and prevent the "implosion" of the pipe.
Advanced Triple-Function Mechanism
Our combination series integrates two distinct orifices into a single high-strength housing:
-
Kinetic Function: The large orifice handles high-velocity air exchange during filling and draining operations. The internal geometry is precision-contoured to prevent "premature closure" (the float blowing shut before the water arrives).
-
Automatic Function: A secondary, smaller orifice continues to operate while the system is under pressure. It releases small volumes of air that gradually collect at high points, preventing the formation of flow-restricting air locks.
-
Resilient Sealing: Every valve is fitted with a reinforced EPDM seat that ensures a "drip-tight" seal even at low pressures, where traditional valves often leak.

Installation & Maintenance Logic
For maximum effectiveness, Veyron Valve recommends installing air valves at every local high point (peaks), at significant changes in slope, and at long horizontal runs (every 500-1000m). Our design features a bolted top cover, allowing the internal float and seat to be inspected or cleaned without removing the valve body from the pipeline. This top-access serviceability is vital for maintaining system uptime in municipal water distribution and irrigation networks.
